Mammoth WVH - Distance (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

#Creed #Breaking Benjamin #EVH Amps #Distance #Music
“As my pop continued to struggle with various health issues, I was imagining what my life would be like without him and how terribly I’d miss him. While the song is incredibly personal, I think anyone can relate to the idea of having a profound loss in their life. I never intended ‘Distance’ to be the very first piece of music people would hear from me, but I also thought my father would be here to celebrate its release. This is for him. I love and miss you, Pop.” - WVH
Proceeds from “Distance” will be donated to Pop’s favorite charity, Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation
I’m so happy
You’ve found a place
That’s better for you
Than this rock we’re living on
I’m so nervous
Don’t know my place
A life without you
I’m not ready to move on
No matter what the distance is I will be with you
No matter what the distance is you’ll be okay
I’m so tired.
Can’t see your face
My memory of you
Slowly fades when I go on
I’m still cryin’
Don’t want this place
A world without you
I don’t think I’ll ever move on
No matter what the distance is I will be with you
No matter what the distance is I will be with you
No matter what the distance is I will be with you
No matter what the distance is you’ll be okay
No matter what the distance is I will be with you
No matter what the distance is I will be with you
No matter what the distance is I will be with you
No matter what the distance is you’ll be okay
No matter what the distance is I will be with you
No matter what the distance is you’ll be okay
No matter what the distance is I will be with you
No matter what the distance is you’ll be okay
No matter what the distance is you’ll be okay
No matter what the distance is you’ll be okay
I’m so happy
You’ve found a place

Sobering to see our childhood guitar hero/idol being a gentle loving father to his only son. Just proves that no matter who your are or become in this life, how famous or wealthy, liked or loved, no matter how influential or powerful, there is nothing that can ever take the place of the love between a parent and a child and EVH was all of those things but the most importantly he was a great dad to Wolfgang. Life has a way of putting things in perspective and teaching those of us willing to learn what is and what isn't important. God bless you Eddie, Valerie and Wolfie.

When Eddie was on stage he always had a twinkle in his eyes because he lived for it......You put that twinkle permanently in his eyes.....

I like how once this song came out, all of the assholes Wolfie “alienated” with his social media antics just came flooding back. What’s wrong? Did the guy you said wouldn’t live up to his fathers hype actually do something worth your time? Did this young man who’s “just a bass player” write and record an incredibly well written and catchy song all by himself, no famous friends involved? Huh, it’s almost like he wants to make it on his own merits, rather than bend to the pressure of so-called “fans.” Good on you, Wolf. Keep killing it!

Wolf, you're a very lucky man. Not only was Eddie your dad, but it's obvious that you were best friends too. RIP EVH.

I'm not crying, you're crying. That was rough. :(

I lost my dad in August after his difficult battle with COVID and I've been at a loss for words since he passed. I originally heard this on the Howard Stern Show and after watching the video and reading the lyrics, Wolfie helped me find my words to tell my dad how I feel. I cried at the end of the video because my dad would leave similar messages to me like Eddie did for his son. Wolfie, thank you for helping me find what I wanted to tell my dad and for helping me begin to heal. No matter what the distance is I will be with you...I miss you dad.

Wolfie, I'm a professional musician, guitarist from Canada!! Your dad was such an inspiration to me growing up and was the reason I even picked up a guitar. I am devestated as well as millions around the world and I couldnt imagine your pain. Thanks for sharing such a heartfelt song dedicated to one of the finest rock musicians ever!! He was such an innovator and is sorely missed. I wish you nothing but the best my friend and what a dream that would be to jam with a Van Halen!!!!

I can’t believe anyone would give this a thumbs down. He has talent and can sing and write. This is a beautiful song and tribute.

We should all feel extremely grateful that we were lucky enough we lived in the space and time where Van Halen wrote the soundtracks to our youths. We should also feel blessed that Wolf is the third-generation of this incredible family who all chose to share their musical gifts with us. He is NOT Jan, Alex or Eddie. He is Wolfgang...Wolfie...Wolf. The musical talent runs insanely deep in his genes. From the 2 songs I've heard, Wolf's music is incredible, diverse and mind-blowing. NOT TO MENTION he wrote, sang and played all of the instruments? GTFOH. Can't wait to hear more! Wolf, you rock. No doubt your Pops + your whole fam is so proud of ya'. I don't even KNOW ya' & I'm fuckin' proud of ya. With one very personal song you unselfishly chose to share with the world, you've helped heal millions of fans & given us hope; something to look forward to - loving and supporting YOUR music. To all of those keyboard asswipes who have senselessly criticized, knocked down and mocked Wolf, let the music do the talkin, now. Take your negativity, sit & spin or turn the damn channel.

Wow man. Tears are flowing. This is sooooooo priceless. Thanks Wolfie for letting the world see just a peak into your family's life. Your dad will forever be the best guitar player the world has ever known. Undisputed.. and you obviously have a beautiful gift as well. Very good song man. KEEP ROCKIN'

From one kid who lost his dad to cancer to another kid who lost his dad to cancer, I cry and I pray for you. 💔💔💔

Your fathers an endless source of joy for us who grew up with him. He parted the sky, he showed us God with his gift. Just know millions of fans keep him alive every day. What a blast to not only have grown up with such an incredible artist, person, iconoclast but a father who held you in the highest regard obviously. His affection for you seemed extra and beyond. Very wonderful to witness and it brings me solace. Even though you’ve experienced the worst loss of your life, I can’t help but be selfish as your art keeps him here for me. You are an incredible artist in your own right, and certainly an individual… But please always carry that name and don’t think it deters from your contribution. It’s an incredible gift to see this continuity. Thank you so much, Wolf!

Just lost my Dad very recently. This song couldn’t have come at a better time.

Eddie was such an icon, mentor, and friend to so many. Fellow guitarists are in still in mourning, as well as those of us (like me) who don't play but wish we could. Meanwhile, I cannot even imagine it being my father and what YOU must be feeling. This song is brilliant as is the video. You have done well son, and I'm sure your dad is looking down, unbelievably proud. Keep on playing - we need you!!

Let's stop messing around and say it out loud, "We're all crying!"😭

Wow.... This song reminded me of when my father died from brain cancer, after a 2 year battle with it... Tears of both happiness and sadness stream down my face right now.... I can still hear my fathers voice, and it's been nearly 30 years. Wolf.... in time you will heal, I promise you that. You will remember all the great memories of your dad and family....God bless you!

I'm so sorry for loss and grief. I never met or interacted with your dad but he reminds me of me with my kids. I don't know what all of you are going thru but the beautiful part for me in this song is the happiness and hope. Thru my current struggle with my cancer by far the heaviest weight has been the guilt of what my kids will feel if I lose the battle. Thank you for giving me hope that the dad I've tried to be for them will help them if this doesn't go my way. Your dad would've loved this and is smiling wherever he is. Hold onto the happy while baring the loss.
